Saudi Arabia to sponsor annual Holy Qur’an and Sunnah competition in Mauritania
Under the auspices of the Kingdom and in the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman approved the holding of an annual competition in Mauritania (for the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah) at the level of West African countries.
The competition is organized and overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, in collaboration with its Islamic Republic of Mauritania counterpart.
It is considered an extension of the generous care and unlimited support of the rational leadership of the Holy Book of God and the Sunnah of the Prophet; may God bless him and grant him peace.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, extended his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his loyal Crown Prince. Because of the extraordinary attention, they pay to God’s Almighty Book and the Prophet’s Sunnah,
Al-Sheikh stated that the competition will be held in the sisterly Islamic Republic of Mauritania in the first quarter of 2023, God willing, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in everything related to Islam and Muslims.
