The Kingdom has implemented over 800 reforms, including the Civil Transactions Law and the Bankruptcy Law, fostering a competitive business environment. These changes have positioned Saudi Arabia as the 16th most competitive nation globally, according to the IMD World Competitiveness Index.

Collaborative Efforts to Assess Specialized Courts

The Ministry of Investment is consulting public and private entities to evaluate the need for specialized investment courts. This collaboration ensures the judicial system adapts to rapid legislative advancements, enhancing Saudi Arabia’s regional and global investment appeal.

Key government agencies are actively contributing to the planning process by providing input on strategic sectors. Decision-makers are directly involved to guarantee comprehensive development aligned with Vision 2030.

Updated Investment Law to Attract Global Investors

In August 2024, Saudi Arabia announced an updated investment law scheduled for implementation in 2025. This framework focuses on attracting global investments, fostering economic diversification, and creating jobs while enhancing the local investment environment.

The updated law, a cornerstone of the National Investment Strategy, targets over $100 billion annually in foreign direct investment by 2030. It ensures fair treatment, intellectual property protection, and freedom in investment management, fostering transparency and investor confidence.

Al-Falih Highlights Comprehensive Reforms
