Saudi Arabia Takes Reins of Asian Racing Conference in 2026

Saudi Arabia is gearing up to host for the 41st edition of the Asian Racing Conference (ARC) in 2026. The Horse Racing Club will officially take over the responsibility from the Japan Racing Association (JRA) during the ongoing 40th ARC session in Sapporo, Japan. This session runs from August 27 to September 1, marking the transition to Saudi Arabia’s leadership.

A Prestigious Global Event

The Asian Racing Conference holds a globally renowned event every two years. It attracts prominent horse owners and industry experts from around the world. The conference plays a significant role in shaping global and regional agendas for the continuous advancement of the horse racing industry.

Royal Endorsement

Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al Faisal, Chairman of the Equestrian Authority and the Horse Racing Club, expressed his excitement about hosting the event.

He emphasized the deep-rooted nature of horse racing in Saudi Arabia’s national identity. “With the generous support and patronage of our wise leadership, the Horse Racing Club is pleased to welcome the 41st Asian Racing Conference to the Kingdom in two years,” Prince Bandar stated. He also highlighted the historical significance of horse racing in Saudi culture and its role in the future.

Gratitude and Future Vision

Prince Bandar acknowledged Japan as the starting point for this year’s conference. He emphasized the Arabian Peninsula’s importance as the birthplace of modern horse breeds. He extended his gratitude to the Asian Racing Federation for this opportunity. Prince Bandar pledged to deliver a world-class event in Riyadh. The Horse Racing Club has rapidly developed since the Saudi Cup launched in 2020. This event will further enhance Saudi Arabia’s reputation in global horse racing.

Global Participation Expected

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Horse Racing Club expects around 1,000 participants from across the globe to attend the conference in 2026. This highlights the event’s significance and reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s leading position as a premier destination for horse racing, both in the Middle East and worldwide.
