Saudi Arabia Streamlines GCC Supply Chains, Allows Refrigerated Trucks Entry

Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority (TGA) has unveiled that empty refrigerated transport trucks arriving from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries will be allowed to enter the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Gazette.

This measure seeks to streamline the flow of goods to GCC countries through the Kingdom’s ports and airports, ensuring the continuity of supply chains for food and other perishable items, and enabling their swift delivery across the region.

The TGA further specified that all trucks must fully comply with applicable regulatory and operational requirements.

Moreover, transport activities are set to be limited to goods imported for these markets that strictly require refrigerated transport.
