Saudi Arabia records decrease in daily Corona infections and deaths
The Saudi Ministry of Health announced on Saturday the registration of 163 infections and 8 new deaths from the Coronavirus, in a decline for both indicators compared with the data on Friday.
The Ministry stated that the number of new infections with Covid-19 has increased in the country during the past 24 hours by 163 cases, bringing the total number of registered infected people to 362,066 people, and 2,886 of them are considered active, including 383 critical.
Saturday’s statistics indicate a relative decline in the daily infection rate with the Coronavirus in Saudi Arabia in recent days, as the Kingdom recorded 177 cases on December 23, 189 on December 24, and 178 on December 25.
The Ministry also reported that eight new deaths were reported due to the virus, bringing the death toll from the pandemic in Saudi Arabia to 6,176.
On December 23, this indicator reached nine deaths, while there were 11 cases on December 24 and nine cases on December 25.
The Ministry also stated that the number of people recovering from Covid-19 has reached 353,004 after 189 new cures were recorded.
On December 17, Saudi Arabia launched a mass vaccination campaign for the Kingdom’s population against the Coronavirus infection with a vaccine developed by the American Pfizer and German Biotech companies.
