Saudi Arabia hopes effective EU participation in G20 summit

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, a phone call on Tuesday from the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

King Salman described bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and European Union as historic, considering that EU is one of the most important international partners to Saudi Arabia.

He further stressed the desire to strengthen the partnership between the two sides to serve the common interests of the two peoples and support international efforts to achieve security and stability in the world.

King Salman looked forward to an effective participation of the European Union in the upcoming G20 summit, to be hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, President of the European Commission stressed the importance of the relationship between the countries of the European Union and Saudi Arabia, and the achievement of common interests, expressing her great concern for the constructive role of the European Union in the next G20 summit in Saudi Arabia.
