Saudi Arabia disburses SAR 500,000 to families of health workers who died from COVID-19
Saudi Arabia has started disbursing the sums covered by the Cabinet’s decision, for the families of the deceased due to the new Coronavirus (COVID-19), from workers in the public and private health sector
Whether they are civilians or military, Saudi or non-Saudi, who have given their lives in the face of this pandemic to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia, with an amount of 500,000 riyals.
The Minister of Health and Chairman of the Saudi Health Council, Dr. Tawfiq bin Al-Rabiah, explained that the start of disbursing the amounts to the families of the deceased due to the Corona pandemic from workers in the governmental or private health sector comes in implementation of the decision of the Council of Ministers.
As an extension of the attention and care the wise government pays to citizens and residents, including health sector employees, appreciating the great sacrifices made by workers in all health sectors in the Kingdom.
Dedication and sincerity in performing their work to serve and care for patients during the Corona pandemic, especially those who sacrificed themselves to preserve the health of the citizen and residents, asking the Lord to have mercy on them and forgive them.
Dr. Al-Rabiah valued the priority and unlimited support provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his trusted Crown Prince, to protect the health and safety of citizens and residents.
He praises the constant attention paid by the national government to the health sector.
He stressed that the health sectors in Saudi Arabia made great efforts to contain this epidemic, control the situation and prevent its spread by all scientific and practical means, while the state allocated huge budgets to enhance the readiness of the health sector.
