Saudi Arabia Celebrates International Day Against Drug

Every year on June 26th, World Drug Day, also known as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, is observed to foster action and collaboration toward the objective of a drug-free world.

The World Anti-Drug Day festivities were launched by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the governor of the Al-Madinah Al-Minawara Region, under the theme “Care amid Crises.”

This occurred at a meeting with Brigadier General Manahi bin Saad Al-Subaie, the region’s director of anti-narcotics.

During the meeting, His Highness praised the General Directorate of Narcotics Control’s efforts to combat this threat to society in light of the wise leadership’s ongoing support for the Kingdom’s security sectors and the development of the control system.

He also praised the effectiveness of the Ministry of Interior’s initiatives to increase public awareness of the goals of the war on drugs.

In addition to praising His Highness’ support and instructions for the efforts of anti-drug men, Brigadier General Al-Subaie explained the prepared plan, which includes the programs and activities accompanying the events, organized by the Directorate in collaboration with several relevant authorities in the area in conjunction with the activities of the World Anti-Drug Day.
