Sailing in Saudi waters: KSA gives entry licenses to foreign yacht owners

Tourist yachts can have entry licenses through Jeddah’s Red Sea Operations Center at any time, as Saudi Arabia’s military and civil servants are working 24 hours a day.

The centre provides assistance in Arabic and English to foreign yacht owners and their local agents in obtaining licenses to enter Saudi seas territory as part of the Crown Prince’s effort to promote tourism by making it easier to enter the country for maritime activities.

The Saudi Border Guards, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism, the General Directorate of Passports, the Transport General Authority, the Saudi Ports Authority, and the Public Investment Fund, are managing the centre.

The facility responds to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s directions in establishing a department for maritime activities to boost tourism and support the Saudi Vision 2030.

The yacht’s registration, classification, and marine radio certification should all be included in any request. A list of the onboard crew’s names and are required to apply for a license. The reply comes within 30 minutes.
