Riyadh to host the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence

The Saudi capital, Riyadh, will host the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence in its second edition, under the slogan “Artificial Intelligence for the Good of Humanity”, organized by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority “SDAYA”, under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of “SDAYA”. 

 

The summit will discuss a number of topics that show the implications of artificial intelligence on the most important sectors, such as: smart cities, human capacity development, health care, transportation, energy, culture and heritage, environment, economic mobility, with the aim of finding solutions to current challenges and maximizing the use of artificial intelligence technologies. 

 

Dr. Abdullah Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, head of the authority, explained that the summit, which will be held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh during the period from 13 to 15 September of this year, will discuss everything related to the field of artificial intelligence techniques from the present reality, challenges and aspirations towards benefiting of its technologies, through the various presentations that the participants will present from experts and specialists from senior government agencies and major technology companies in the world, highlighting the latest research and technologies in this field, exchanging experiences with them and discovering investment opportunities associated with artificial intelligence tools during the next stage. 

 

Al-Ghamdi revealed that the summit, in its second edition, is also an opportunity for those interested and experts in this field to benefit from the gathering of more than 100 speakers around the world under one roof in Riyadh, specialized in artificial intelligence, to listen to them during their participation in work sessions, panel discussions and accompanying workshops, and to see a number of Among the cases of using artificial intelligence that will be reviewed during the summit from local and global innovators. 

 

It is noteworthy that the first edition of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence, which was held two years ago, had the participation of more than 200 experts and decision-makers over two days and included dialogues of global importance, whether in terms of recovering from the pandemic or trends that shape the field of artificial intelligence, while its activities were attended by more than 13,000 Interested in the fields of artificial intelligence, and the views of the summit on social networks exceeded the 5 million mark.
