Riyadh to Host Middle East’s Largest Poultry Expo

Riyadh will host the activities of the Middle East Poultry Exhibition in its third edition, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture during the period from May 13 – 15, 2024, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The exhibition attracts more than 300 companies from 40 countries around the world, and an elite group of international companies and experts in the poultry, feed, and animal health.

The exhibition aims to enhance the use of modern technologies and practices in the poultry industry and related industries. It also enhances investment opportunities in the sector and increase domestic product in fulfillment of the National Food Security Strategy, according to SPA.

Participants in the exhibition, including governmental bodies, institutions, companies, and non-profit organizations in the livestock sector, are preparing to showcase over 800 products. Furthermore, their aim is to enhance commercial and build business networks in the largest poultry markets in the Middle East. The exhibition presents the latest technologies and innovations in poultry breeding and production, animal health, and the feed industry.

Leading Poultry Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition is the Kingdom’s leading event in the poultry industry, boasting a 75% international participation rate and a 45% increase in exhibitors compared to the previous edition. Spanning 15 thousand square meters, it includes the Middle East Poultry Exhibition, the Middle East Feed Exhibition, and the Middle East Animal Health and Nutrition Exhibition. Lasting three days, it gathers local and international poultry farming experts. The event features the Knowledge in the World of Poultry Symposium, now in its second edition, with participation from experts of major international companies. Moreover, the symposium presents scientific lectures focusing on developments and solutions for the growth and sustainability of the poultry industry.

The poultry sector in the Kingdom is among the largest and fastest-growing in the region. Government support, spearheaded by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, includes grants, loans, and increased investment in collaboration with the private sector. Recently, a 17 billion riyals expansion plan was launched. It aims to achieve 80% self-sufficiency in poultry meat by 2025.
