Riyadh celebrates New Year by Fireworks and huge line-up stars

On New Year’s Eve, the city of Riyadh experienced an unparalleled mood in celebration of the commencement of the New Year. As fireworks burst from the “Riyadh City Boulevard,” 13 Arab singers and artists performed for hundreds of people in the Mohammed Abdo Theater, just meters away.
The countdown to the firing of fireworks from the Boulevard, the hub of the “Riyadh season” entertainment, began a few seconds before midnight, to illuminate the sky with a brilliant show of fireworks blasted simultaneously from the city’s monuments and famous structures.

Meanwhile, 13 Arab singing artists performed in the Mohammed Abdo Arena Theater on in a historic “Riyadh Triple Night.”
The ceremony was attended by artists Mohammed Abdo, Abdul Majid Abdullah, Angham, Asala, Ahlam, Nawal Al Kuwaiti, Rashid Al Majid, Nabil Shuail, Abdullah Al Ruwaished, Majed Al Mohandes, Aseel Abu Bakr Salem, Walid Al Shami, Fahd Al Kubaisi, and Asma Lamnawar.
In addition to performing their songs individually, all three artists participated together to collaborate for the first time in singing selections from their most famous songs.

As celebrations were allowed to go on, authorities had reimplemented several measures to protect against the spread of the coronavirus.

The Kingdom reinforced wearing masks in public places, including outdoor events, amid a rise in COVID-19 cases locally and worldwide, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
