Representative of KSA to Arab League Meets Somali Counterpart

The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the Arab League, Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Mattar, welcomed at the delegation’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the Republic of Somalia to Egypt and its representative at the Arab League, IIyas Sheikh Omar.

During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest within the framework of the Arab League system.

Earlier Saudi-Somali Meetings

 

last week, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Somali President, received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji, on the sidelines of the IGAD summit in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, reported Saudi Press Agency.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields. Additionally, they discussed issues of mutual interest.

Earlier this year, the Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, welcomed in his office the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Mawlid.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in investment.

Al-Mawlid affirmed the Kingdom’s readiness to benefit from the investment  opportunities available in Somalia and to support it in various developmental projects.

The Somali Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom for its continuous support to Somalia and its commitment to protect Somalia’s unity, independence, and sovereignty.
