The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) has announced the eagerly awaited lineup of its “New Saudi Cinema” short film program, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The program will feature five films that perfectly portray a vibrant image of the Kingdom’s blossoming cinematic renaissance.
Interestingly, the films include fiction, documentary, and animation, offering a clear reflection to the unique creativity and artistic voices of a new generation of Saudi storytellers.
The lineup includes the following works:
- Noor
- Human Tide
- Seven Summits
- Beyond the Shifting Sands
- Circles of Life
These works stand as vivid testaments to the creative richness of the Saudi documentary scene and the bold imagination that features today’s Saudi documentary storytelling.
Moreover, they embody the spirit of ambition and creativity among national talents in the cinema sector.
Notably, the New Saudi Cinema program has received more than 200 submissions representing a living proof of the growing interest in filmmaking across Saudi Arabia.
The event provides filmmakers with an outstanding platform to meet a new audience of film enthusiasts and spotlight the growing prominence of Saudi cinema on the global stage.
Interestingly, the films are scheduled to screen during the festival’s fifth edition, taking place from December 4 to 13 in Historic Jeddah.
By launching this program, the Red Sea International Film Festival underscores its dedication to empowering national talent and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s presence in global cinema as well as creative content industry.
