Ramadan Vibes Meet Sustainability at Indian Consulate Iftar in Saudi Arabia
The Consulate General of India in Jeddah has celebrated Ramadan through a large and warm iftar gathering several officials, according to Arab News.
The iftar gathering brought together representatives of the Saudi government, diplomatic community, Indian diaspora, as well as leaders from sectors such as business, media and culture.
Themed “Organic Iftar,” the event boasted organic flavors to underscore the importance of organic farming and sustainability.
During the event, the Indian ambassador, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, highlighted the significance of Ramadan, noting its values of reflection, compassion and service.
Furthermore, Khan stressed the strong Saudi-Indian ties in various areas such as trade, cultural exchange and sustainable development.
On his part, Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri emphasized the consulate’s focus on sustainability and the increasing importance of organic farming in India and beyond.
Through the use of organic ingredients, the iftar featured a vast array of delicious dishes representing the rich flavors of India.
Therefore, the event reflects commitment to health and wellness and protecting the environment for coming generations.
These products were provided by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, Government of India, in collaboration with local partners like LuLu Group and Siafa Dates.
