Prince of Makkah Visits MPDAuthority in Jeddah
Today, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdul-Aziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region and Vice Chairman of the Regional Development Authority, visited the headquarters of Makkah Province Development (MPDAuthority) in Jeddah.
His Highness chaired a meeting in the presence of the Minister of State, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Supporting Development Authorities, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Sultan, and members of the authorities in the region.
In addition, he reviewed the most prominent works of the Makkah Region Development Authority in the sectors of planning and studies, transportation and infrastructure, construction and the environment.
He also discussed the latest updates in major projects and enabling the private sector. The projects include previous work carried out by MPDAuthority.
Lastly, he inquired about the most recent advancements concerning the planning and execution of the security control center in Al-Shumaisi.
MPDAuthority
(MPDA) is a key governmental organization in Saudi Arabia that plays a crucial role in driving progress and development in Makkah region.
Also, it is responsible for upgrading and developing Makkah through arranging structural plans for the central region. It directs the implementation of major advancement projects.
In addition, the authority has spearheaded the planning and implementation of major infrastructure projects, including road networks, transportation systems, and utilities.
Discussion At the Meeting
During the meeting, they discussed the mechanism of development and integration with the governorates. The discussion included determining development requirements, preparing five-year governorate developmental and urban plans.
They also proposed that the five-year governorate development plans must prioritize projects in line with the development needs and priorities of the governorates.
In addition, the emphasized directing project owners to rearrange their priorities for development projects in the governorates.
