
The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes 2026 has announced the nomination of several Saudi initiatives, including nine standout projects from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
Among the nominated entries is the AI Service Provider Accreditation initiative, also known as the AI Ethics Incentive Badges, which aims to promote ethical practices in the use of artificial intelligence. Other recognized projects include the National AI Index and the National Open Data Platform.
The list also features the multilingual Data and AI Glossary, offering a standardized reference in Arabic, English, and French, as well as an AI-powered early breast cancer detection program designed to enhance early diagnosis and improve healthcare efficiency.

Additional nominations include Nafath, the national digital identity platform developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior; the AI Principles in Media document, created with the Ministry of Media; the Generative AI Accelerator (GAIA); and Tahseen, an initiative that leverages AI to digitally restore and enhance Saudi historical media.
