NEOM, the innovative development project in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, has announced the return of the NEOM Beach Games in its third edition in November 2024.
In a statement, NEOM promised a more thrilling and competitive events, from November 3-23, 2024. More than 1,000 world-class athletes, coaches and team officials will participate in the big games, including Olympic gold medalists Cassandre Beaugrand and Alex Yee (triathletes), Worthy De Jong (3×3 basketballer) and Veddriq Leonardo (speed climber).
Exciting Sports Events
The NEOM Beach Games 2024 will include six dynamic sports events:
- Supertri NEOM- Triathlon: on November 3
- FIBA 3×3 World Tour NEOM 2024- Basketball: from November 7 to November 9
- NEOM IFSC Masters- Climbing: from November 11 to November 13
- NEOM Beach Soccer Cup: from November 13 to November 16
- NEOM TITAN Desert- Mountain Biking: from November 18 to November 22
- World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM: from November 22 to November 23
The World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM is introduced for the first time in the NEOM Beach Games. It will bring together the world’s top Open Water Swimming athletes. Taking place in the charming waters of the Red Sea, the new event will conclude the grand championship.

On this occasion, the Managing Director of Sport at NEOM, Jan Paterson, said: “It is hugely exciting to be hosting the NEOM Beach Games for its third edition, including welcoming a number of athletes and medalists from the recent Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”
Commenting on the introduction of new activities, Paterson added: “With the addition of the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM and two compact venues at NEOM Bay and Bajdah Desert, we are looking forward to offering an exciting experience for athletes and spectators alike and helping to establish NEOM as a destination for global sports amongst our natural sporting landscapes.”
