Mawhiba Foundation Launches Creative Writing Program
The “Mawhiba” Foundation, in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Culture, launched an enrichment program in the field of creative writing for gifted students. The program is entitled “Generation of Literature” for middle school students.
The program aims to enhance the presence of creative writing among the younger generation. It further aims to emphasize the importance of nurturing them and benefiting from their talents.
It focuses on expanding students’ understanding of creative writings related to literary genres. These genres include science fiction stories, detective stories, children’s stories, short stories, and essays.
More than 150 students from various regions of the Kingdom have registered in the program. The program will take place for 9 weeks in 3 major cities, namely Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dhahran. The program will be online to provide the opportunity for all students in the different regions of the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that the the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority’s role is discovering and nurturing talent in various fields. Moreover, it works on achieving its pioneering role in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by empowering gifted students in the field of creative writing. “Mawhiba” Foundation is undertaking this project through creating an environment stimulating for talent and creativity in order to to enhance the young’s passion for creative writing.
