Mawani, Arabian Chemical Terminals Sign Land Lease Agreement for Storage Tanks at Jubail Port

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed a land lease agreement with Arabian Chemical Terminals Ltd. to develop chemical and petrochemical storage tanks at Jubail Commercial Port. The project represents an investment of more than SAR 500 million and will cover an area of approximately 49,000 square meters.
The initiative will enhance operational efficiency and increase cargo handling capacity, supporting the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub.
This agreement reflects Mawani’s ongoing efforts to strengthen private sector participation in economic growth and to reinforce Jubail Commercial Port’s role as a key driver of commercial activity. Once completed, the facility will provide a total storage capacity of 70,000 cubic meters, improving the competitiveness of Saudi ports at both regional and international levels.
The project aims to expand storage capabilities and support the export of chemical and petrochemical products in accordance with the highest international standards, while reinforcing supply chains. It includes the development of specialized facilities for the storage and export of chemical and petrochemical materials, as well as comprehensive storage and distribution services for local and international trade, in line with global quality and safety requirements.
Additionally, the project will strengthen national supply chains, enhance the Kingdom’s chemical logistics capabilities, and increase operational efficiency and capacity, thereby improving customer competitiveness. It also supports Saudi Vision 2030 by advancing infrastructure development across the energy, industrial, and supply chain sectors.
