London Business School (LBS), one of the world’s pioneering institutions in business education, has officially opened its new Executive Education Office in Riyadh.
Located in the heart of Riyadh’s prestigious Diriyah city, the office stands as a testament to the LBS’s strong partnership of over a decade with the Kingdom. The opening also reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing focus on developing human capital in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The inauguration ceremony brough together senior government representatives and business leaders in the Kingdom, including H.E. Dr. Eiman Al-Mutairi, Vice Minister of Commerce, as well as members of the British Embassy and the wider business community.
Strong Partnership
“The opening of London Business School’s office in Riyadh marks a significant milestone in our shared commitment to knowledge, leadership, and lifelong learning,” H.E. Dr. Eiman Al-Mutairi, Vice Minister of Commerce, said.
Al-Mutairi also noted that over the past decade, more than 209 Saudi nationals have completed LBS’s MBA and Executive MBA programmes. Meanwhile, a further 6,776 Saudi professionals have taken part in the School’s Executive Education programmes since 2022–23.
“We warmly welcome LBS to Riyadh. Their presence reflects a shared belief in true knowledge transfer and skill development, and together we will continue cultivating the next generation of leaders who will shape the Kingdom’s future,” She added.
Bold Vision
Sergei Guriev, Dean of London Business School, said Saudi Arabia aspires to fulfill one of the world’s most ambitious economic and social transformations. This bold vision requires strategic vision, global perspective, and a deep cultural understanding.

“The opening of our Riyadh office reflects our commitment to supporting this journey. We are proud to support the Kingdom’s investment in the people, realizing the transformation and the Kingdom’s next phase of sustainable and knowledge-driven growth,” Guriev said.
Remarkable Breakthrough
Currently, Saudi Arabia is now one of LBS’s largest global markets for Executive Education. LBS has witnessed a marked increase in participation from Saudi executives across both open-enrolment and customized programmes.
This increase also includes a growing participation from Saudi women, mirroring the Kingdom’s accelerating momentum toward inclusive leadership development.
By fostering strategic collaborations and continued investment, the School seeks to empower 10,000 Saudi leaders and to collaborate with 100 organizations by 2030.
To offer tailored Executive Education programmes, the School works closely with several organizations such as the Diriyah Company, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and BSF.
Notably, Saudi nationals also make up the largest share of the Executive MBA cohort at the School’s Dubai campus.
Key Milestone
“I am delighted that London Business School has opened its new Executive Education Office in Diriyah,” Professor Sir Steve Smith, UK Government International Education Champion and Special Representative to Saudi Arabia for Education, said.
Smith described the achievement as a key milestone in the strategic partnership in education between both Kingdoms.
by leading innovation in education and future skills development, the LBS perfectly aligns the ambitions of the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
