Live Action: Real Madrid v Barcelona (Spanish Super Cup, Final)

Leaders-Mena magazine provided a live coverage for Sunday’s game between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the final of the Spanish Super Cup.

45+7′ WHAT A SAVE! Thibaut Courtois pulls off a great save to deny Alejandro Balde (Barcelona), who makes himself some space inside the box and unleashes a quick shot towards the top of the net. It will be a corner kick for Barcelona.

27′ Kounde collects an inch-perfect pass and strikes the ball from far out, but his shot is blocked.

25′ Tchouameni gets to the ball from the resulting corner and tries his luck with a shot, but one of the defenders steps in to block the effort.

25′ Rodrygo sends a wonderful cross from the corner kick. However, the defence works perfectly to clear the ball and avert the threat. Real Madrid earn a corner.

24′ Tchouameni peeled away from his marker and got on the end of the resulting corner, but his fine header towards the bottom right corner is brilliantly saved by the diving goalkeeper.

24′ Valverde receives a good pass and from just outside the box he unleashes a promising strike, but the shot is blocked by the defender. The linesman points to the corner flag, Real Madrid are going to take it.

(GOAl) Great link up play between Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski gives the former a clear sight of goal on the edge of the box. He doesn’t disappoint and beats the keeper in the bottom right corner.

22′ GOOAAAL… Yamal equalizes for Barcelona

20′ Barcelona’s Raphinha takes the corner kick and sends a lovely ball into the penalty area, but the opposition’s defence is ready and knocks the ball to safety.

20′ A through ball from Lamine Yamal fails to reach Gavi as one of the defending players reacts brilliantly to intercept the effort. If the pass had been produced a little bit earlier, Gavi could have got into a promising position. Barcelona have been awarded a corner kick. The referee and one of his assistants both point at the corner flag.

19′ The corner kick is deflected to Marc Casado, who immediately sends in a long-range shot. However, he hits the ball poorly and it goes high over the bar.

19′ Raphinha takes the corner but fails to find any of his teammates. The ball is easily cleared out of danger.

18′ Pedri receives a precise pass inside the box, but his effort on goal is blocked by the defender. Barcelona have been awarded a corner kick.

16′ Kylian Mbappe is having a really tough time right now. We are about to find out how serious his injury is.

14′ Vinicius Junior swings the ball in and Jude Bellingham gets on the end of it, but Wojciech Szczesny shows good awareness and comes off his line to thwart the move.

12′ Real Madrid create set piece, sent into the penalty area by Rodrygo, but it was easily dealt with by one of the defenders.

11′ Lamine Yamal slaloms his way past challenges, but an opposing player does well to get the ball away.

9′ Alejandro Balde slides a brilliant pass into Raphinha (Barcelona), but his shot from inside the box goes a whisker wide of the right post.

(GOAL) Kylian Mbappe receives the ball after a swift counter attack. Still with some work to do, he weaves his way through the defence to score a wonderful goal from close range.

3′ Lamine Yamal looks to break free, but his touch lets him down and he loses the ball. The ball goes out of play and Real Madrid will have a goal kick.

3′ Raphinha swings in the corner kick, but one of the defenders leaps highest to head the ball away.

2′ What a sweet touch by Lamine Yamal as he collects a pass. From near the edge of the box he produces a shot which goes towards the left post, but the goalkeeper pulls off a decent save to thwart him! The referee blows his whistle, Barcelona are awarded a corner kick.
