Kuwait cancels permits for 50 electronic newspaper

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information announced the cancellation of the licenses of 50 electronic newspapers; For violating the provisions of the electronic media regulation law in the country.

Ministry of Information decision:

The ministry issued its decision against the 50 newspapers for committing several violations, including the exploitation of some of the licenses by renting them.

Some newspaper owners also sold and waived them without the approval of the ministry, which is a violation of the media law

License Expiry:

The violations also included the failure of some of these newspapers to carry out their activities, while the period of licenses for some expired and they did not request renewal from the ministry.
