KSrelief Supports Yemen with Medicine, Water

KSrelief, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, supports Yemen and its people through various programs and aid.

Notably, the aid include the delivery of the sixth batch of dialysis solutions and supplies for kidney patients in the Al-Mukalla directorate in Hadhramaut governorate.

The humanitarian aid provided by KSrelief include the provision of mobile medical clinics in the Hajjah governorate.

KSrelief’s Medical Efforts to Yemen

Moreover, KSrelief offered medical services to 413 beneficiaries from January 24th to January 30th, 2024. It delivered 1,300 dialysis sessions to the office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Marib governorate.

Additionally, its medical clinics provided services to 567 beneficiaries during the period from January 24th to January 30th, 2024. KSrelief signed a cooperation agreement to build a kidney dialysis unit at Al-Ja’dah Health Center in Hajjah governorate.

Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Muallim, Director of Health and Environmental Assistance at the center, stated that a kidney dialysis center will be established at Al-Jadah Health Center.

He said that this initiative comes to alleviate the suffering of kidney failure patients in the northern Hajjah governorate.

This agreement comes within the efforts of KSrelief to support the health sector. Additionally, it seeks to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the humanitarian crisis they are going through.

 

KSrelief’s Supports Water Projects in Yemen

In support of water projects in Yemen, KSrelief signed a cooperation agreement with a civil society institution.

The agreement is to implement a project for drilling and developing water wells in the following places:

  • Al-Sahil
  • Al-Wadi district in Hadhramaut governorate
  • Al-Khokha district in Al-Hudaydah governorate
  • Bir Ali area in Radhum district in Shabwah governorate.

Moreover, 8 new wells will be drilled and equipped in the project intervention areas in Hadhramaut, Al-Hudaydah, and Shabwah governorates.

It is worth mentioning that the agreement aims to enhance the capacities of the water institution’s staff to manage water and sanitation infrastructure.

Thus, the center will train 34 individuals in installation and maintenance works on-site, through the installation process of well components and accessories.
