Crisis in Sudan
The people of Sudan have lived through difficult times that seemed like an eternity. They were dominated by feelings of fear mixed with anxiety and terror, facing an unknown future.
The year 2023 was not an ordinary year for the people of Sudan. The country witnessed tragic events, the hardest and worst in its history, including a fierce war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.
The conflict, which started in the heart of the capital, Khartoum, spilled over to more than 60% of the country. It resulted in thousands of deaths, victims, and injuries, and the displacement of millions both within and outside the country.
Last year, KSrelief signed a cooperation agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The agreement aimed to provide shelter assistance and non-food items to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in some countries. The $4 million agreements included the Republics of Chad, Sudan, and South Sudan.
