Al-Baha Univ. Honors Winners in Digital Entrepreneurship Challenges

Dr. Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Hussein, Head of Al-Baha University honored the winners of the Digital Entrepreneurship Challenges Award today. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Tech for Technology, Engineer Muhammad Al-Rubaian attended the ceremony and other participants from inside and outside the region.
An important turning point in the promotion of international innovation and cross-cultural exchange was reached by this event.
Entrepreneurship Challenges
With demanding challenges in digital entrepreneurship, success can be found through strategic planning and persistence.
In a speech during the event, Dr. Abdul Khaleq Hajad Al-Ghamdi, the dean of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services, commended the initiatives of the digital entrepreneurship challenges on this particular occasion.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi thanked the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for its support of the program. More than 120 entrepreneurs and innovators participated in the Incubator and Entrepreneurship Center.
In order to boost the technology sector in the Saudi Kingdom, more than 120 entrepreneurs and inventors came together to develop innovative and technological solutions. The organization efforts and participant interaction throughout the digital entrepreneurship challenges were highly commended by Engineer Al-Rubaian.
In addition, he noted the healthy competitiveness among the participants.
He also pointed out that over five days, they trained over 450 person and more than 132 entrepreneurs participated. They applied for the participation with more than 55 pioneering projects in the field of digital entrepreneurship within two days.
The event presented more than 40 counseling sessions as well. Then, the audience watched a short movie about the journey of digital entrepreneurship challenges at Al Baha University.
Finally, At the end of the ceremony, the President of Al Baha University and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology honored the winning teams with prizes worth 450,000 riyals.
The first place was achieved by “Traout” and the “Siraj” team achieved second place, while the “Etienne” team achieved third place.
