The Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation announced that the Kingdom will host the Eastern Toyota International Rally from 4 to 6 March in the Eastern Province.
The Eastern Toyota Rally will be the third round of the season of the 2021 Alba Rally World Cup 2021, after it was approved last October by the International Automobile Federation as part of the World Series calendar. Hence, the race will appear for the first time on its tour schedule, and the race will be the first round of the Saudi Toyota Rally Championship.
The elite drivers of the Alba Rally World Cup are expected to participate in the race despite the surrounding circumstances due to the emerging corona virus pandemic.
The organizing committee, in cooperation with the ministry of sports and the competent authorities, will take the necessary precautionary and preventive measures and implement the approved health protocols to ensure a safe race for all participants and organizers.
His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, said: “Hosting the Eastern Toyota International Rally is an extension of the generous care and continuous unlimited support for the sector.
The Eastern Toyota Rally supervised by the ministry of sports and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation is the second Saudi Rally in the World Cup series, as the Kingdom hosted the fourth and fifth rounds of last season, which concluded its competitions in December.
