Kingdom Arena
Earlier this year, Turki Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, revealed developments at Kingdom Arena stadium in Riyadh. The stadium is specially designed for Al Hilal Club, reported Goal.
Last year, Al Hilal Club Company completed an agreement with the General Entertainment Authority. ‘Boulevard Hall’ became the official stadium of Al Hilal under the name Kingdom Arena.
“Sunlight substitute (artificial) devices were brought from the Netherlands to maintain the stadium’s turf. Al Hilal will inaugurate its stadium at the end of the month in a match against Inter Miami,” wrote Turki Al-Sheikh on his account on platform (X).
He added in a statement to the program Action with Walid that the installation of the stadium’s floor begun while planting 3 reserve fields.
Additionally, he hailed its strong lighting which will be 15% higher than all stadiums in the world.
Affirming his commitment to pleasing the Saudi audience, the chairman said that the stadium’s floor was transported by air despite its high cost.
Moreover, he revealed discussions on the idea of building stadiums in various regions of the Kingdom, similar to the Kingdom Arena stadium.
Al Jawhara Stadium
Al Jawhara Stadium has installed new lighting system. The system included the LED technology according to the specifications of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
Furthermore, this system is one of the highest categories of stadium lighting. It includes specific standards for the size and dimensions of light glow.
Therefore, it ensures that it does not affect the comfort of spectators in the stands. The focus is primarily on illuminating the playing field in Al Jawhara Stadium. Consequently, there will be no distortion or excessive glare.
