King Salman Oasis, Riyadh Education, Microsoft Partner to Enrich Science & Tech Festival 2024

King Salman Science Oasis successfully enriched the 2024 Science and Technology Festival through its strategic partnership with Microsoft Arabia and the General Directorate of Education in the Riyadh region.

This collaboration resulted in the execution of more than 30 workshops throughout September, benefiting over 500 students and teachers.

The workshops covered key areas in educational technology, focusing on AI applications and virtual labs. They aimed to introduce students and teachers to AI and develop their skills in using it for learning and teaching. Additionally, participants explored chemistry concepts through virtual experiments with Microsoft tools and built virtual chemistry labs in Minecraft.

This initiative comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts of the King Salman Science Oasis to enhance the 21st century skills of students and teachers, and in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in developing human capabilities and enhancing future skills.

It is noted that the Science and Technology Festival 2024 attracted more than 40,000 visitors, including 20,000 students from various educational levels, and 20,000 families and enthusiasts. The festival hosted more than 90 workshops, benefiting students, teachers, and families.

Due to high turnout, the festival has been extended until late November, offering more students, visitors, and science enthusiasts a chance to benefit from this rich experience.
