Khashoggi family says that Judgments are fair and deterrent

The family of the late Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi described the common right rulings issued by the Criminal Court as “fair judgments”, considering that they “represent a deterrent to every criminal and offender, no matter what.”
The family’s lawyer, Counselor, Mutassim Khashoggi, told Asharq Al-Awsat, “The crimes committed by those convicted are serious crimes and the sentences for the common right that include various prison sentences are just judgments accepted by the court that rules in the law of God and public order.”
He believed that the provisions “are considered a deterrent to every offending criminal, whatever he may be. We as a family have accepted from the beginning the application of Allah’s law and his rule, and there is no court or body in the world today that applies the law and rule of God like the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
He added, “We have delegated our command to God, and then to our guardians, who have fulfilled the trust and fulfilled the promise. They, as Khashoggi’s family said, have all thanks, appreciation, gratitude and loyalty.”
