King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) has inaugurated a new medical library facility aimed at supporting around 15,000 clinicians and researchers. The launch was led by CEO Dr. Majid bin Ibrahim Alfayyadh, marking a significant step in expanding access to high-quality medical and scientific resources across the hospital.
The newly enhanced library serves as a comprehensive knowledge hub for clinical, academic, and research teams. It also offers access to 15 leading medical and scientific databases, along with hundreds of peer-reviewed journals, helping to advance education, research, and evidence-based clinical practice.

In addition to its physical resources, the library features advanced digital services through a dedicated website and mobile application. These platforms allow users to easily access materials, manage bookings and requests, and utilize self-service tools. Artificial intelligence powers key features, improving search capabilities, content discovery, and access to relevant scientific information.
The facility also plays a vital role in strengthening the hospital’s academic and clinical environment. It enables healthcare professionals and researchers to stay up to date with the latest scientific developments and apply this knowledge in education, training, and clinical discussions.

KFSH continues to receive international recognition, ranking first in the Middle East and Africa and 12th worldwide among the top 250 academic medical centers for 2026. It has also been named the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East by Brand Finance 2025, and was included in Newsweek’s lists of the World’s Best Hospitals, Smart Hospitals, and Specialized Hospitals for 2026.
