Jeddah Univ. Participates in Thailand Exhibition of Inventions

A research team from Jeddah University participated in the Thailand Exhibition of Inventions, Innovations and Technology. They took part in the exhibition with a medical device they invented for early detection of brain strokes.

The device is mainly based on using the Internet of things and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

The invention’s main idea is to help reduce voluntary disturbance associated with brain waves by using AI to aid sleep.

As a result, Jeddah University won a bronze medal, in addition to special international awards, including a gold medal.

The Thailand Exhibition of Inventions is an annual event that brings together inventors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors from around the world. In addition, it features a wide range of inventions across various industries, including technology, healthcare, agriculture, and sustainability.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 presents a clear pathway for embracing AI in education. Accordingly, Saudi government attracted more investments in AI field.

Furthermore,  the Saudi government has established several initiatives to support AI research. These initiatives included the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) and the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).

The Saudi government is also using AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its own operations.
