Jeddah Islamic Port Broadens Connectivity with Hapag-Lloyd SE4 Route

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the integration of Hapag-Lloyd’s SE4 shipping service at Jeddah Islamic Port, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The new route marks a strategic move aimed at fostering the Kingdom’s maritime competitiveness and global trade connectivity.

It also offers direct connections from Jeddah to key global ports, including Tianjin Xingang, Qingdao, Ningbo, and Shanghai in China, Busan in South Korea, and Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia, further boosting the Kingdom’s pivotal role in international maritime trade.

The new shipping service connects key centers in the western and eastern Mediterranean, while extending to Singapore.

With a capacity of up to 17,000 standard containers, the new route solidifies Jeddah’s position as a central gateway in global maritime trade.

This initiative stands out as an integral part of Mawani’s broader efforts to elevate the Kingdom’s standing in global performance indices, streamline the flow of national exports, and advance the ambitious goals of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics.
