Jeddah Governor crowns the winners of the Touring Car World Cup at the Jeddah Corniche circuit

The Governor of Jeddah, Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalaw in the presence of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Motorsports Federation, crowned the winners of the second race of the Saudi Tour of the World Touring Car Cup “WTCR”.



The race was organized by the International Automobile Federation, in cooperation with the Saudi Motorsports Company. Its competitions were hosted by the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, from November 25 to 27.



The results of the race were as follows:



First place: Belgian Giles Magnus, driver of the Comtoyo Audi Sport team.

Second place: Macedonian Viktor Davidowski, driver of the Komtoyo Racing Team

Third place: Spaniard Mikel Azcona, driver of the BRC Hyundai in the Squadra Corse team.


The closing day of the World Touring Car Cup competitions at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit witnessed many sports and entertainment events.



The drivers competed in the two main races, amid fierce competition from all participants due to the struggle for the championship title for the teams. This was decided by the BRC Hyundai N Scudra Racing team with 523 points.



Team Munich Motorsport came second with 387 points, and the Comtoyo DHL Audi Sport team ranked third with 344 points.



In the first race, Frenchman Nathanael Berthon, driver of the Comtoyo DHL Audi Sport team, took advantage of the pole position and maintained his position throughout the 30-minute race.



Berthon was ahead of Hungarian Norbert Michels, driver of the BRC Hyundai N Scudra Corse team, and finished the race in first place for the second time this season.



Thus, he is only 5 points away from the second-placed Argentine Nestor Girolami, driver of Munich Motorsport.
