IsDB Inaugurates Two Hospitals in Indonesia

The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser, inaugurated today two hospitals in Indonesia funded by the bank, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

In collaboration with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Al-Jasser also inaugurated a promising project that added more than 1,000 beds across six new hospitals in the country.

Al-Jasser underscored the transformative impact of the two new hospitals, especially the mother and childcare units.

Furthermore, he emphasized their pivotal role in providing world-class healthcare to Indonesian families, representing a significant milestone towards promoting public health and leading sustainable development in the country.

Al-Jasser stressed that IsDB’s commitment to supporting Indonesia to mobilize financial resources as Indonesia is the third largest shareholder in the Bank.

The IsDB has provided financing worth US$1.4 billion for three health projects in less than 4 years, making the Indonesian Ministry of Health the largest institutional partner of the Bank.
