GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi strongly condemned the riots, assaults, and attempted acts of vandalism that targeted the UAE Embassy in Damascus, along with the residence of the head of mission. He also denounced the offensive actions directed at the UAE’s national symbols.
Albudaiwi called on the relevant authorities in Syria to hold those responsible for these incidents accountable. He stressed the importance of strengthening security measures to protect diplomatic facilities and embassy staff residences, in line with established international diplomatic norms and conventions.
