Former Israeli Negotiator Daniel Levy: Israel Committed War Crimes

Former Israeli Negotiator Daniel Levy has accused Israel of committing war crimes and killing peoples in Gaza, according to 4 News Channel.

In an interview with Keme Nzerem, Levy stated that Israel destroyed Gaza and 90% of people became displaced.

“Homes, hospitals, schools, government facilities, mosques, churches .. everything is destroyed,” the British–Israeli analyst said.

Strong Condemnation

Levy also accused the Israeli forces of committing war crimes in Gaza. “You are in the dock,” he said.

“Israel’s narrative does not look so good at all,” the negotiator added.

In this context, Levy explained that Israel has been building an international reputation through the investment of huge resources in order to “maintain a certain standing in certain spaces.”

However, such reputation was hit by the Israeli crimes during the war. The reputation “still exists in some of those spaces, but it has taken an unprecedented hit,” the former Israeli peace negotiator added.

“Your economy has taken a very significant hit,” he said.

Crucially, the war has sparked legal vulnerabilities among people in the Global South as they started to “draw that connection with their own history of colonization and of settler colonialism.”

Strong Resilience

Apart from this, Levy has described the resilience of Gaza people as “eye-opening and even awe inspiring.”

“Literally day one of the ceasefire, people pick up their things and say, can I go back to, not my home, but my rubble, I want to see what is there,” he said.

“Culturally, Palestine has a cultural cachet that it never had,” Levy stated.
