Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Albudaiwi has held a meeting with Adm. Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, chairman of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military Committee, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Held on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference in Germany, the meeting delved into the latest regional and international developments with a special focus on the current situation in Gaza and the wider region.
In this context, the Secretary-General underscored the dire need to intensify international efforts to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.
Albudaiwi also stressed the GCC’s dedication to maintaining regional stability and international efforts to address humanitarian crises.
Meanwhile, Dragone strengthened the GCC states’ significant role in keeping regional and international security and stability. He also commended their prestigious status in regional and international forums.
