Fashion Commission to Organize Meeting on Events’ Needs

The Fashion Commission is organizing an open meeting tomorrow on events’ needs to discuss the modern perspectives of event planning, and the vital aspects necessary for their success, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The meeting, which will be held virtually at 11 AM, will cover several topics, notably: the importance of understanding events’ needs for event organizers and adaptation to changes in consumer preferences and sustainability practices. It will also tackle technological developments, and global conditions, in addition to the mechanism of formulating strategies that strikes a balance between innovation and human interaction, enhance environmental awareness, and prepare for unforeseen circumstances, ensuring the continued success of events.

This meeting is part of a series of open meetings regularly organized by the Fashion Commission. They serve as a communication channel with the fashion community in the Kingdom; to acquaint them with the commission’s efforts and the modern perspectives aimed at developing the sector, and empowering Saudi talents in the world of fashion.

Meeting on Sustainability

 

The commission also organized an open meeting entitled: “Sustainability Opportunities in Fashion Sector.”

During the meeting, the commission met with practitioners and those interested in the fashion sector in the Kingdom, to shed light on sustainable materials. Moreover, the virtual meeting focused on developing the production process, and sustainable design in the fashion industry.

It also addressed multiple aspects, the most prominent of which were the reasons that make the fashion industry one of the most polluting industries and sustainable materials in the fashion sector.

It further discussed developing the production process and enhancing design sustainability in the fashion industry. The meeting touched on the most prominent initiatives of designers and fashion companies that achieve sustainability locally and globally.

“Sustainability Opportunities in Fashion Sector” meeting came within a series of meetings that the Fashion commission has been organizing. These meetings serve as an open communication window with the fashion community in the Kingdom.

It aims to introduce them to the Authority’s activities and efforts in developing the sector, and promoting investment opportunities. This is with a view to transform it into an effective and contributing sector to the national economy. It further aims to as  bring in ideas and visions. Consequently, this would contribute to the development of the Saudi fashion sector. This is with a view to enable it to compete locally, regionally and globally.
