The Najran branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture celebrated International Volunteer Day 2024 yesterday, which falls annually on December 5, under the theme “A Giving Community.” The event was held at Park Najran Center.
The celebration included various awareness and educational activities about volunteering, its fields, and its objectives. Brochures highlighting the benefits of volunteering and its positive impact on individuals and society were also distributed to visitors.
International Volunteer Day
Fahad Al-Saab, Deputy Director General of the Ministry’s Najran branch, explained that the activities aim to raise environmental awareness, foster collaboration between individuals and institutions, promote a culture of volunteerism, and encourage giving and generosity within the community. He noted that the branch has achieved over 10,000 volunteer hours during the current year.
