Egyptian President Meets Saudi Crown Prince in Jeddah

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday for a landmark meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Upon the president’s arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the Crown Prince warmly welcomed Al-Sisi before hosting him for a Ramadan iftar at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Sisi conveyed his sincere appreciation to the Crown Prince for the cordial reception and the generous hospitality extended to him and the accompanying delegation.

Both leaders underscored the importance of boosting Saudi-Egyptian relations across diverse sectors and discussed several ways to strengthen the bilateral ties.

They also tackled a vast array of issues concerning the Arab and Islamic arenas, reviewed the latest developments across the Middle East, and discussed ongoing efforts in this regard, with a special focus on safeguarding the region’s security and stability.

Moreover, they discussed the latest developments in Gaza, reaffirming the significance of upholding the ceasefire agreement and emphasizing the full implementation of the US President Donald Trump’s peace plan.

The two leaders further delved into other files, stressing the need to avert escalation and reduce tensions across the region.
