Diriyah Gate Project, Developing The City of Diriyah
The CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Gerard Inzerillo, confirmed that the authority intends to invest 4 billion riyals in 2021 to work on the infrastructure and developing the city of Diriyah.
According to Al-Eqtisadiah, Inzerillo indicated that the region would witness the establishment of 3 metro stations linked to a line from the airport, as well as various investments in electricity, water and agriculture, and places for walking, with the aim of developing the city of Diriyah to draw a new face of the city.
He estimated, during a presentation he gave in Riyadh under the title “Diriyah is the beginning of the Kingdom to be the greatest gathering place in the world.” The flow of Gulf and global investments is about 75 billion riyals from 2020 until 2024 with the projects of developing the city of Diriyah.
Inzerillo expected that developing the city of Diriyah would receive 55 million tourists annually by 2030, which would generate additional income for the state budget by about 27 billion riyals while providing 55,000 jobs.
On the other hand, Inzerillo indicated that the district of Al-Bujairi would soon be opened in preparation for the “Formula E Event” scheduled for February 2021, stressing that the district will include a cinema, an entertainment area, 21 international restaurants, a number of hotels and lodges, places for picnics and barbecues, as well as places to practice sports Walking.
