In 2022, King Salman announced that Saudi Founding Day is not just a reflection of the nation’s past but also a celebration of its heritage and continued progress. In addition, this public holiday, is distinct from the annual National Day on September 22. It honors the foundation of the first Saudi state named Diriyah by Imam Mohammad Bin Saud.
Celebrations include a wide array of festivities across the country, spanning three days.
