The Automotive Distribution and Marketing Company Limited has announced the grand opening of the largest Great Wall Motor Limited (GWM) spare parts warehouse in the Middle East.
Located in Al-Khumra, south of Jeddah, this facility is equipped with the latest technology. It features a modern and advanced racking system.
Warehouse Specifications and Capabilities
Spanning an impressive area of 14,000 square meters, the warehouse stands as one of the largest Central Parts Distribution (CPD) centers. Remarkably, 74% of the workforce consists of national staff.
The facility adopts the latest concepts and working methods in warehouse management and logistics services. This adoption aims to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
The warehouse has the capacity to store a vast array of spare parts, with the ability to house over half a million parts. Additionally it is designed for efficient receipt and dispatch operations, handling up to 5500 parts received and 5800 parts dispatched daily.
Moreover, special attention is given to safety-related parts like seat belts and airbags, aligning with government regulations and standards.
Strategic Impact and Vision
Engineer Majid Al-Shahrani, the company’s CEO, highlighted the strategic significance of this extensive warehouse. He emphasized its positive impact on spare parts availability for customers. Additionally, this initiative is part of the company’s commitment to providing the best post-sale services.
It also reflects their vision of building a sustainable relationship with customers. Moreover, this warehouse, along with GWM’s facility in Dubai, will significantly reduce the lead time for spare parts supply from the manufacturer. It will cut down the delivery period from 50 days to approximately 10 days, a reduction of nearly 80%.
This enhancement will improve coverage across most cities in the Kingdom, aiming to serve customers in the best possible manner.
