Saudi Arabia is currently taking part in the G20 Startup20 Summit with an official delegation bringing together officials from public, private, and non-profit bodies driving entrepreneurship and innovation, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Led by Prince Fahd bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of the G20 startups, the delegation seeks to highlight the Kingdom’s pioneering approaches for fostering its entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Set to run until November 14 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the G20 Startup20 Summit aims to boost global economic cooperation through innovation and digital transformation.
By actively taking part in this summit, the Kingdom stresses its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, supporting startups, and solidifying its presence in international forums concerned with innovation and sustainable development.
Sponsored by NEOM, the Saudi participation aims to strengthen collaboration with international partners and diversify global startup investment opportunities.
Interestingly, the Kingdom has launched the Saudi pavilion to showcase remarkable achievements and investment opportunities in the entrepreneurship sector.
The pavilion also spotlighted national projects, the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem, startups, and investors, along with a special focus on technology, energy, and the creative economy.
During the first day of the summit, the Saudi delegation hosted a series of interactive workshops that focused on sharing Saudi experiences in empowering startups and exploring avenues for cooperation with their counterparts from participating countries.
Prince Fahd bin Mansour, in his speech, emphasized the significance of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship as a cornerstone for realizing the ambitions of the Saudi Vision 2030. He also noted that the Kingdom’s efforts and accomplishments in this arena demonstrate the success of Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and its potential to compete on the global stage.
