CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, Talal Al Marri, announced that Saudi Arabia gears up to host the world during Expo 2030 Riyadh, extending invitations to 197 countries, according to Gulf News.
This move represents a remarkable milestone toward hosting one of the world’s largest global gatherings, Expo 2030 Riyadh — a landmark event expected to draw nearly 42 million visitors.
The event seeks to bring together more than 197 nations and 29 international organizations under one global platform to address common challenges and highlight innovative, future-shaping solutions to advance sustainability.
“Expo is of great importance in bringing people together and providing opportunities for genuine human interaction,” he added.
Al Marri noted that the Expo site will span about six million square meters, with major infrastructure and facilities anticipated to be finalized ahead of schedule.
“Riyadh’s other mega-projects, such as Diriyah and Qiddiya, will also be ready,” he said during his speech at the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference in Riyadh.
To ensure smooth access for millions of visitors, the Kingdom will begin infrastructure works for the Expo before the end of this year.
Moreover, Riyadh Metro network will facilitate visitor access by linking key areas of the capital to the Expo site.
The CEO also mentioned that Riyadh’s distinctive location placing almost half of the world’s population within a five-hour flight — solidifies its position as an ideal selection to host the event.
He underscored that Expo 2030 Riyadh will serve as a strategic global hub for innovation, sustainability, and education, while advancing global dialogue and human development.
