Acting Vice Minister of Interior Attends Opening of World Fire, Rescue Championship

Under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Acting Vice Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf attended the opening ceremony of the World Fire and Rescue Championship yesterday.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Interior through the General Directorate of Civil Defense in cooperation with the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers (ISFFR), was held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium in Riyadh.

In his speech, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted that hosting this championship underscores the Kingdom’s leading global role in organizing major international events and aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030, which emphasize the importance of public safety and security.

The championship, which continues until November 1, features more than 300 participants from 22 countries competing in four main disciplines: the 100-meter hurdles, the 400-meter relay, the tower ladder climb, and the combat challenge.
