Under the patronage of Madinah Region Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, a Saudi industrial company affiliated with the Takaful Charitable Association for Orphans Care has signed a cooperation agreement with the German firm Deutsche FoodUp GmbH. The signing took place during the “That Nakhal Forum for Premium Dates,” which gathered leading experts, farmers, producers, and investors in the dates sector.
As part of the agreement, the first shipment of dates—exceeding 1,200 tons—will be exported from the association’s palm endowment project.
The initiative marks a major step toward strengthening the financial sustainability of the Takaful Charitable Association for Orphans Care. Revenues generated from the endowment directly support the care of orphans in Madinah.
This endowment project is among the Kingdom’s most innovative charitable initiatives, encompassing more than 200,000 palm trees across 11 farms covering nearly 15 million square meters. The farms produce an estimated 700 tons of dates annually.
