Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council Holds 1st Secretariat Meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh hosted yesterday the inaugural meeting of the General Secretariat of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council. The session was co-chaired by Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, Advisor at the Royal Court and Secretary General of the Council, and Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, and Secretary General of the Council.

At the start of the meeting, Al-Tuwaijri welcomed Lieutenant General Al-Wazir and his delegation to Saudi Arabia, wishing them a pleasant stay.

The discussions focused on shared visions for the strategic partnership between the two nations and on ways to further enhance it. Both sides reviewed joint plans in preparation for the upcoming session of the Supreme Coordination Council, which will be co-chaired by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The two delegations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties in line with the aspirations of their leadership and peoples, and to advancing cooperation across broader horizons. They underscored the role of the council as the primary platform for coordinating joint efforts across all sectors.

The meeting was attended by several officials from both countries.
