Saudi Crown Prince, Egypt’s Al-Sisi Underscore Depth of Bilateral Relations
The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on Thursday received the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in the city of NEOM.
After the warm reception, the two leaders held extensive discussions, followed by a bilateral meeting.
According to the Egyptian Presidency‘s spokesperson, Mohamed El-Shennawy, the Saudi Crown Prince warmly welcomed Al-Sisi, expressing the Kingdom’s appreciation of the solid brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Robust Ties
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also emphasized Saudi Arabia’s keenness on fostering broader and more sustainable joint cooperation across various fields, in a way that achieves the mutual interests of both countries and meets the aspirations of their people within the framework of their shared vision for the future.
Furthermore, the Saudi Crown Prince valued Egypt’s pivotal role in establishing regional security, stability and development, based on its historical weight and strategic standing.

Al-Sisi, on his part, extended his appreciation and gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the warm welcome and the generous hospitality. He underscored the profound sentiments of respect and pride that the leadership and people of Egypt hold for Saudi Arabia, and for the close historical bonds that unite the two nations.
Fostering Partnership
Moreover, the Egyptian President expressed his desire for building upon the qualitative progress achieved in bilateral ties to boost economic and commercial partnership and meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
El-Shennawy added that the meeting included in-depth discussions on a number of bilateral cooperation files. Both leaders affirmed the significance of promoting joint investments and accelerating the inauguration of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council as a comprehensive framework for enhancing relations at all levels.

The two leaders agreed on launching more partnerships in the fields of industrial integrations, technological industries localization, transport, renewable energy, and urban development.
Discussing Regional Issues
The meeting also tackled regional and international issues of mutual interest. Both the Saudi Crown Prince and Al-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, in coordination with different parties.
Meanwhile, Al-Sisi confirmed Egypt’s support for Saudi Arabia’s initiatives on the Palestinian cause, including the recent International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution.
Within this context, the two leaders stressed the urgent need for the accelerated delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza without impediments, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land or reimpose the Israeli military occupation of the Gaza Strip. They also reiterated the need to halt Israeli actions against Palestinians in the West Bank.
Finally, the Egyptian Presidency’s spokesperson confirmed that both Riyadh and Cairo intend to continue joint coordination and consultation, particularly amid the rapid developments in the Middle East, stressing the importance of supporting the stability of the region’s countries and safeguarding their territorial unity and national institutions’ integrity.
